The Gunners are working towards their Premier League opener against Brentford on 13 August, while Hibernian, who has played 3 times during pre-season, will be in the European Discussion League on 21 July.

Hibernian, it is said, has played three friendlies pre-summer this season, opening their preparations for next season with a 5-3 win over Civil Service Strollers on July 2. The Scottish club then suffered a 1-0 home loss to Accrington Stanley on 6 July but will enter this contest with a happy 1-1 draw with Championship club Stoke City on Friday.

Hibernian will open their 2021-22 Scottish Premiership season against Motherwell on August 1, then, as a sign of the primacy of their next two friendlies on July 13 and July 16, respectively. The past season could prove to be a strong one for the club, as they finished 3rd in the Scottish Premier League, apart from making the Scottish Cup final and Scottish League Cup semi-finals
