Match Preview

The England national team is getting closer to the dream of ending the wait for the title European Cup. The semifinals and final will be played at Wembley, playing at home in favor of the Three Lions.

Gareth Southgate's team will face the Danish dark horse team in the semifinals, Thursday (08/07) at 12:30 midnight Indian time. If they can get past the Danish Dynamite they will face the winner between Italy or Spain in the final.

On paper with the fact that the match was held in England, as well as the quality of both countries, England is favored. However, the fact that Denmark cannot be underestimated. At least they won the European Cup in 1992 while English has never been.

Moreover, Denmark has been tested to trouble England. Of the last six meetings in all competitions England has only won once, the rest lost two and drew three. Denmark's motivation to play for Christian Eriksen adds to their strength.

England is also expected to learn from the experience at Euro 2016. At that time Wayne Rooney et al were eliminated by Iceland with a score of 1-2 and became horrendous news in Europe.

Team News

There is no news of injuries from the Danish squad directed by Kasper Hjulmand. Only Christian Eriksen is absent after collapsing due to a heart attack. Apart from Eriksen, other Danish players are ready to play.

There were concerns that Bukayo Saka would miss playing due to a minor injury. However, his condition is now much better and Saka is ready to play against Denmark.
